About Us

Lamar County Trojan Battalion was started in 2007 by Major (R) Paul Stinson. Major Stinson a native of Lamar County and was asked by a Counselman of Barnesville to start the program. Originally Major Stinson plan was to get the program in stable position and pass it on, but he feel in love with students here at Lamar. Our program number objective is to prepare cadets for a life outside of high school. Not all cadets will enter into the military, but where life might take them, we want them to be prepared.
